Inland CommunicationsOak Brook, Ill. – An affiliate of Inland National Development Company, LLC (“INDC”), a member company of The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, Inc., announced the successful sale of Tru by Hilton Holland, and Home2 Suites by Hilton Holland for a combined sales price of $32 million. The transaction represents INDC’s second and third hotel sales in recent years, underscoring the firm’s continued success and growth within the hospitality sector.
“The sale of these two Hilton‑branded hotels is an important milestone for INDC and reflects the strength of our hospitality development strategy,” said Anthony Casaccio, CEO and President of Inland National Development Company. “Completing our second and third hotel sales in recent years demonstrates our ability to deliver high‑quality assets that perform well in the marketplace and attract strong investor interest.”
The dual‑branded hotels include a Tru by Hilton (98 rooms) and a Home2 Suites by Hilton (109 rooms), and are strategically located along US 31, providing convenient access to Holland State Park and Ottawa Beach, and are less than two miles from Veldheer Tulip Gardens, the centerpiece of the city’s internationally recognized Tulip Time Festival. Guests are also a short drive from downtown Holland, home to the nation’s only authentic Dutch windmill, De Zwaan Windmill, as well as boutique shopping and dining. Additional outdoor destinations, including Saugatuck Dunes State Park, are accessible in approximately 20 minutes. The hotels have achieved strong occupancy levels, supported by a diverse mix of leisure, university and regional travel demand, including proximity to Hope College and Grand Valley State University, which contribute to year-round demand.
Tru by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton are modern brands within the Hilton portfolio that, when developed together, complement each other to maximize operational efficiencies and guest offerings. Tru by Hilton caters to short‑term travelers with efficient, vibrant accommodations and amenities such as a hot breakfast, an indoor heated pool and fitness center. Home2 Suites by Hilton is designed for extended‑stay guests, featuring apartment‑style accommodations with fully equipped in‑suite kitchens, along with complimentary Wi‑Fi and breakfast. When co‑located, the dual‑brand concept allows guests of both hotels to benefit from shared amenities and a seamless hospitality experience.
As INDC continues its growth in the hospitality sector, the sales of Tru by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton hotels in Holland marks an important milestone in the company’s development strategy. The firm remains committed to expanding its portfolio of high-quality hospitality properties in key markets across the country.
To date, INDC’s officers and leadership team have, for themselves and others, purchased, owned, developed or redeveloped 10,900 acres of land as well as 4 million square feet of multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, retail, mixed‑use and industrial property, including more than 7,000 apartment and condominium residences and more than 6,000 residential lots.
