Inland CommunicationsOak Brook, Ill. - Inland National Development Company, LLC (“INDC”) is pleased to announce that Howard Brown Health, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (“LGBTQ+”) healthcare organizations, opened their newest healthcare center in Chicago’s Northalsted neighborhood. After a competitive RFP process, INDC was selected as the developer for the Howard Brown Health project in January 2021.
“This has been such a rewarding project for INDC,” commented Anthony Casaccio, president and CEO of Inland National Development Company. “Howard Brown Health’s mission is to eliminate the disparities in healthcare experienced by the LGBTQ+ community, and we are proud to have collaborated with them to help fulfill this goal.”
Located at 3501 North Halsted, the five-story, 76,000-square-foot healthcare center offers a full range of services including primary and specialty care and mental health and lab services. The facility currently features 38 exam rooms and 12 dental chairs. The ground floor space is home to Walgreens, streamlining access to medication for both Howard Brown Health patients and the local community. Additionally, there are 26 indoor parking spaces servicing the facility. The Northhalsted location is expected to serve approximately 23,000 patients per year.
“Howard Brown strives to provide high quality, culturally competent care to our community members. We are thrilled to have worked with INDC to take this big step forward in increasing access to affirming healthcare services for the LGBTQ+ community in Chicago," said David Ernest Munar, president and CEO of Howard Brown Health.
