Preparedness in Action: Inland Property Management and Leasing Companies' Hurricane Response Strategy

By

Hurricane season runs from 1 June through 30 November, bringing the potential for severe weather across the Atlantic, Gulf Coast, and Caribbean regions. While storms can develop throughout the season, activity typically intensifies between mid-August and late October, underscoring the importance of planning and preparedness.

At Inland Property Management and Leasing Companies* (“Inland”), we implement every effort to prioritize the safety of our employees, tenants, and residents. Through a comprehensive hurricane preparedness program, Inland takes a proactive approach to monitoring storm activity, coordinating response efforts, and helping properties prepare when severe weather threatens.

Ahead of significant storm events, Inland activates preparedness protocols designed to support effective communication and operational readiness. These efforts include distributing hurricane guides and resources, coordinating property storm preparedness, providing important emergency contact information, and sharing recommended steps to help mitigate potential damage. Inland also delivers timely updates through dedicated online resources and email communications to keep key stakeholders informed about storm developments and response activities.

In addition, Inland maintains internal training and response procedures that help our teams prepare for, respond to, and recover from severe weather events. Clear and timely communication before, during and after a storm remains a critical component of Inland's overall resilience strategy.

Inland provides preparedness resources, updates, and storm-related information on our Inland Hurricane Preparedness Site.
