Hilton Home2 Suites/Holland

Home2Suites is a newer lifestyle extended-stay product that Hilton introduced in 2011, serving hotel guests that, on average, stay five or more nights in a week. The extended stay segment is operationally efficient due to the longer stays which require less daily turnover expenses. Rooms are also larger, with studios averaging approximately 323 square feet and one bedroom units averaging approximately 490 square feet, and come fully equipped with kitchenettes. As a new brand to Hilton, Home2Suites offers stylish accommodations, flexible room configurations, inspired amenities and community spaces for the extended-stay guest.

As research shows that guests in extended-stay settings often seek community and connection after several days, all Home2Suites properties feature an open lobby area with an approximately 4,200-square-foot community space called the “Oasis.” The Oasis is designed to create an environment where guests can socialize and includes communal and individual work zones, a 52-inch flat-screen TV and a complimentary “Inspired Table” continental breakfast service with a variety of customizable options. Other features of the Oasis include the Home2MKT stocked with grab-and-go items, the Spin2Cycle combined laundry and fitness area and a business zone offering computers, wireless printing and complimentary Wi-Fi access.

Appropriately nicknamed “The Tulip City”, Holland, Michigan is known internationally for its “Tulip Time Festival”, a week-long celebration which attracts nearly one million visitors to the city each year. The festivities include parades, renown performers, fireworks and of course, millions of vibrant tulips on display throughout the city. It is the largest festival of its kind in the U.S. and has been named “Best Small Town Festival” by Readers Digest and is ranked as America’s third largest town festival. In addition to the festival, visitors are also drawn to area attractions which celebrate Holland’s rich Dutch heritage, including Dutch Village, Windmill Island Gardens, Veldheer Tulip Gardens and museums that feature historic Dutch furnishings and relics. For outdoor enthusiasts, Holland is home to numerous sandy beaches just off the shores of Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan. Though Holland’s many quaint boutiques and local merchants exude a small town vibe, it is also home to a variety of well-known businesses, retailers and restaurants. Holland’s employment sector is growing with robust manufacturing and production accounting for the largest single job category in town, with nearly 20,000 employees.
