Nora O’Connor is Director of Human Resources of Inland Human Resource Services, Inc. She joined Inland in 2007 and has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, with the last 15 years being in management. As the Director, Ms. O’Connor oversees a staff of 14 who service more than 25 payroll entities with more than 1,100 employees in over 20 states. Ms. O’Connor and her team are responsible for the payroll, recruiting, benefits and employee relations functions. Prior to joining Inland, she worked in human resources in multiple industries including transportation, financial services, e-commerce and telecommunications. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Lewis University and a master’s degree in human resources from Loyola University of Chicago. Ms. O’Connor earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation in 2002 and has maintained that designation through required continuing education. She is also an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) andis the Co-Chairperson for Oak Brook’s Workplace Development Council.

As a strong believer in the benefits of mentoring, she was a founding member of the Women’s Initiative Network at Inland, a structured program that offers educational opportunities and career advice for employees, and is an active mentor for several women in the Inland organization.
