OAK BROOK, Ill. – The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, Inc. (“Inland”) announced today a record-breaking fund-raising walk event in which over 100 Inland employees participated on behalf of Wellness House, a local nonprofit offering over 500 programs to help cancer patients and their loved ones manage their lives as a complement to medical treatment and at no cost to the patients and their families.
The event itself drew over 3,200 participants and raised over $827,000.
“Inland has proudly supported Wellness House for over 30 years, and we want to thank everyone who participated in the Walk to help this wonderful organization,” said Robert H. Baum, Inland’s Chairman and General Counsel. “As the event’s Presenting Sponsor, we are delighted to have broken past years’ records in both attendance and contributions. Inland’s cumulative total contribution to Wellness House over the years exceeds $2,150,000.”
“The Walk, which itself is always a special event, was particularly meaningful to Inland as we dedicated our sponsorship this year in the memory of Joe Cosenza, an Inland founder, who unfortunately passed away from cancer last year,” added Baum.
